I've an issue while trying to create a new property called OWNER in the C_GROUP dimension.
Please refer to the screen-captures for the error.
I've also tried to create OWNER2 just to be sure the OWNER is not a reserved property name that are not allowed.
I'm using BPC 10 Microsoft version.

Hi all,
I need to stop the execution of a package (datamanager) when the user chooses a particular (wrong) category from the package prompt. It is a security check.
The package uses a custom dtsx chain.
I need to stop it using a SSIS task (I don't know how) or if it is simplier I need to stop just a script logic (.lgf) that is inside the package.

We are implementing SAP BPC MS 7.5.
The client software and administration all installs perfectly but on some PC's the Input Schedules doesn't want to open.
The users do have all the same rights and is logged in but the input schedules doesn't want to open on some of them, neither through the BPF's or eSubmit -> Open Temples.
Does anyone know what the reason for this can be?

I have a problem when I run a link of BPF from BPC Web. The BPF is instantiated correctly.
The version of the EPM Addin is SP 17. SAP BPC Microsoft Version
The error is:
Error launching office client: plugin.PushActionsByValue is not a function

Hi All,
We have an EVDRE submission templates we have been using for the
past few years and they worked fine but when we have users in BPC Excel
2007, we are getting a 440-Automation Error. This does not happen in
BPC Excel 2003.
SAP BPC 7.0 SP4
SQL Server 2005 SP2

our client would like to publish some specific reports from EPM as iViews in the Enterprise Portal.
By checking out the document http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70f8092b-4a02-2f10-fdb2-96275aa11140?QuickLink=index&…, we could see that it is possible to access the EPM Add-In from Portal, however it will launch the application entry point, whereas our client wants to have specific iViews with specific EPM reports in it.
Please, has someone faced such a requirement before?
Is it possible to publish EPM content directly in an Portal iView??
All kind of help will be much appreciated.

Hi guys.
I have been asked by the business to confirm that BPC supports secure (aka 'double-encrypted') Kerberos.
The only documentation I can find on this on the SAP site relates to either NW or MS version through CMS.
I will be installing using the "Windows" authentication option, so does this support encrypted Kerberos out of the box?
I am looking at BPC MS v10 SP13.

What does it mean?
Which will be the risk involved if we don't upgrade and we continue to work on this version in the next years until 2018?

we are on the latest version of the EPM Add-in SP17 Patch 2 , for 32-bit Excel. While working in the EPM Add-in, the context freezes after a while (when trying to select a member with the member selector pop-up box in the context, you can't select anything it is frozen). The only thing you can do is re-start Excel .
Is this a known issue - is SAP handling this bug ? It is really annoying issue.

As this is my first workshop I am looking for information on tools or Best Practise documents to conduct SAP BPC workshop and gather requirements. Is there a SAP BPC related Question & Answer database to define the business requirements? I know this kind of tool exist for SAP ERP related project to define requirements but didn’t find the similar tool for BPC related projects. Can you please guide and share the questions you normally ask the business user during workshop for a planning implementations.

Hi, experts does anyone know of a way to make a BPC 10 MS report print range dynamic? Depending on what someone chooses for entity, the size of our document changes. We would like to have it print the full report each time and that is not happening currently, thanks, Tracey

I want to hold the entity of the sheets with multiple workbooks.
Every workbook has his one entity
To do this I can use

AND THAT WORKS FINE BUT
To avoid errors when there are no references to FPMXLCLIENT - EPM I use always a COMADDIN object
That works normally fine excepts when I use it here:

It gives error 438 I have no idea how to solve this. Object does not support this property or method. What can I use instead?
We are receiving error: "The underlying connection was closed:Unable to connect to the remote server.", when we optimize the application or full processing the dimension. But, according to the TblLogs file the full optimizations are completing successfully although the client side error is received.
In Pre prod, when we tried to do all the above activities without citrix i.e., through the client installed on Server , we have not faced any hassels. It went fine. We are about to implement this in the Prod to isolate the issue. Problem while accessing the app through Citrix.
SAP also recommends to review the configuration of your Network Load Balanced (NLB) environment (WEB01) or Citrix deployment of BPC. But our teams says, everything is fine from their point. There is no flaw observed.
Paralelly, we have Increased Connection Time out levels @ IIS server level. Earlier it was 600 , we made it as 1200. Did Tbl logs table cleared. We have increased Time out Settings at DB level and OLAP level also as recommended by SAP. But no change in the error.
Any clue, what could be the reason for this after having the detailed investigation on the error as mentioned above.
This is so urgent, almost 150 users are getting effected.
Your immediate help would be appreciated.
FYI, we are using BPC MS 7.0 SP12 and SQl Server 2008.

When I am click on "Modify Work Status" from Office client, I am recieving the error 'Object variable or With block variable not set'.
The user id I am using for this is having admin rights and Work status related access permissions.

We have recently received an error on an account-based calculation that used to work. Our problem is, we cannot identifiy the change happened that may have caused the error.
We're running an SPRUNCALCACCOUNT, where we use properties to extract accounts, flow and datasource and we use the parameter Apply YTD.
If we run the package its running with success, but do not aggregate a specific data source.
If I the try to hardcode the datasource in the account-based calcultaions to the datasource not aggregating, the package return an error:

*ERROR* CALC-030 No TIME Extract
I haven't been able to sort this out. Theres a thread saying I need to add %TIME_SET% to SPRUNCALCACCOUNT, but then the calculation is not running.
Any ideas?

Hi Gurus,
I'm having issue refreshing a report with dynamic selection of entities.
There are no error message but it just didn't list out all the entity I've selected.
The same report has no issue listing out the entities in 2 other computers which I've tested.
The only difference between the 2 computers and my computer is the 2 computers are on EPM 10 SP14 while mine is on SP16.
I've checked all the Sheet options, Context options and User Options between the pc and they are all similar.
I've attached the errors which are extracted from the Log option.
We are all using BPC 10 MS version.

In Planning and Console Administration Client I have set "Keep Data Audit Record" for 1 days; but after 2 days data change still appear in data audit change report

I'd like to prompt for the property O_Account.Form in the DM package to use in my scoping. I've managed to create a combo box that prompts for a selection between the forms D1A and P33 by adding these two lines to the DM script:

My scope looks like this:
*SELECT(%MY_ACCTS%,"[ID]","O_ACCOUNT","[FORM]= %MYFORM%")
*XDIM_MEMBERSET O_ACCOUNT = %MY_ACCTS%
However, when I run the package, the log says: "No records returned by *SELECT(%MY_ACCTS%,"[ID]","O_ACCOUNT","[FORM]= '%MYFORM%'")". Also, the Where clause in the sql part of the log doesn't include O_Account, and thus the script is run for all accounts regardless of the property value.
Have I just got the syntax wrong or is there some other problem?
