Entering Input forms using thousands but Carrying Units

Hi Experts,

We would like to enter data in thousands and store in units.

For example, source data would be imported as 19750 and displayed as 20 in report and input forms.  We would do this via the format Sheet.

When entering data via input forms, we would like to enter 20 and the system records as 20,000.

I thought about creating 2 forms – initial one as a display entry where the user would see 20 and 20,000 and below it, a hidden form where the entry would multiply (20 from above *1000) and BPC would use that as the entry.

However, now we get into a loop.  The initially entry is keyed in as 20 displayed as .020 and recorded as 20,000, but now when the form is saved again, the numbers will update again and the entry will 20,000,000.

Has anyone addressed a similar requirement?
