The performance of posting journals in BPC 10.1 is very poor. At one of my client, who has many many journals, the posting of one months of journals (200 journals, 3000 lines) takes about 20 minutes. We have tried to minimize or disable the journal logic, however, this only saves about 10% of the time needed. While the journals are being posted, the application server is only using about 5% of CPU and 10% of memory.
The general performance of the server is OK, a consolidation runs in minutes. Why are the journals taking so much time? In 7.x the same job took 5 minutes max.
Who has the same issue and has ideas to improve the performance? Thanks!
