BPF documentation and Work Status/BPF functionality

Hi everyone,

I have a case where the client is asking for some functionality that I don't think exists.  So, I'm looking for confirmation of my thinking and possibly some documentation.  They are running BPC10.

The client's primary process for this issue is through BPFs that they run through each month.  The users go through their step and then change the Work Status (WS) to "Submitted".  When it's in that state they are able to see when it was changed to that state.  Once the process goes forward and the next level changes the WS to "Approved", they are able to see when that occurred, but are no longer able to see when it was changed to "Submitted" (i.e. it looks like the audit logging overwrites instead of adds to).  It looks to me like this is by design so any change would have to be submitted as an Enhancement Request.

The work around request for them is, if the WS can't keep track of each change in state then can the BPF keep track (provide a time stamp) for each of the substeps.  Right now it appears that only full steps get a time stamp.  I think the answer to this one is the same as the first ("no" - enhancement request).

The last thing they asked for was a "close button for sub-steps in BPFs that allows them to be done in any order and tracks the time."  I saw in the on-line help that, "Steps can have sub-steps that do not need to be completed sequentially and may not be required for every step of the process", but I'm not sure how to set that up.  Does anyone have any decent BPF documentation?  I'm not finding anything helpful.

Thanks,

Dan
