Does anyone have some helpful hints in terms of troubleshooting intermittent issues with EPMRetrieveData formulae?
One example, two users with the same access rights (both admin) access the same report from the server. For one the EPMRetrieveData formula bring back the data, for one the cells are blank. After multiple attempts and logging out and in, heads scratched, it worked for both users. However, no changes were made to make it work.
Another example - file used each month for reporting uses EPMRetrieveData formula to obtain data. This month, no data is retrieved but the #RFR error is received. No amount of hitting refresh makes it go away. Two steps seems to have resolved it - tick the EPM worksheet option and then highlight data and press Refresh Selected Data. Does a worksheet have to be an EPM worksheet for EPMRetrieveData to work? Why wouldn't a simple refresh resolve the issue rather than a Refresh Selected Data?
While both issues are resolved, it's not great not being able to explain to the users what the problem was.
