How to avoid users to input invalid value by using Data Validation?

Hi all,

I am using BPC 10 MS version.

Here is my situation. I would like to limit users to input a value as YEAR in a cell. I tried to limit the input value between “2000” and “2100” by using DATA VALIDATION function in dynamic formatting.

However, it doesn’t work as expected. Users still able to input and save a value that exceed the range of limitation. In other words, users can input “2” or “3000” in the cell as YEAR.

Is there any mistake on the validation setting? Thanks!
