Having SAME member name in different dimensions...Is this OK or no?

Dear all:

Situation

I have Entity dimension in which it has base member 100, 200, 300. And I have a custom dimension called IO (stands for Internal Orders) that has parent member 100, 200, 300 with base member IO123 under 100, IO201 under 200, and IO305 under 300. Everything ran fine for single month reporting except when I opened up my complex input template some columns' data fetched the data and then flushed the data out right away.

I could tell there seemed to be a conflict when I had same member name under different dimension. When I changed IO dimension parent member under IO to be 100IO, 200IO, and 300IO, the above fetching-and-flushing issue went away.

My question is, in BPC under my EVDRE panel, it did add an extra note when I had same member names. It would state "Entity:100" and "IO:100" rather than just "100" from the function EVCVW(). It looks like BPC was intelligent enough to distinguish the members from different dimensions, meanwhile still got confused by it. Has anyone noticed this issue and perhaps discovered a workaround (besides renaming to a different name?)

Thank you!
