We have to build a custom measure where it should consider Apr to Mar from the calendar year.
We have three sections in the report like periodic, YTD (Jan to Dec) and YTDFY (Apr to Mar).
We have only calendar year in Time dimension as they would like to treat the same as FY.
Now, a specific report demands to display periodic, YTD (Jan to Dec) and YTDFY (Apr to Mar)..
For YTDFY, we have to create a measure and we have framed the below formula:
'IIF(([%AccountC%].CURRENTMEMBER.PROPERTIES("ACCTYPE")="INC" OR
[%AccountC%].CURRENTMEMBER.PROPERTIES("ACCTYPE")="EXP") AND NOT ([%TIME%].CURRENTMEMBER.PROPERTIES("PERIOD")="TOTAL" OR [%TIME%].CURRENTMEMBER.PROPERTIES("PERIOD")="Q1" OR [%TIME%].CURRENTMEMBER.PROPERTIES("PERIOD")="APR" ),
[MEASURES].[YTD]-([MEASURES].[YTD],[%TIME%].LAG(1)), [MEASURES].[YTD])'
Would this be correct?. We have even acct type as "AST", shall I include this even?
As I understand, we need to test the formula, login into SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio
then add in Measureformula table and then modify the app.
Please correct.
