I frequently use a multi-tab BPC report that takes several minutes to run. During that time I typically work on email or other non-Excel tasks without issues. We recently upgraded to BPC 7.5 MS and I now find that I can't productively work in any other programs. Essentially Excel keeps "taking control" and makes itself the active program while the expand is running.
An example: if I attempt to respond to an email, I may get 2 or 3 characters in the email and suddenly I'm back in Excel. I click back on the email, maybe have the ability to type one or two more letters, and suddenly Excel is the active application again. When the expand finally finishes, I end up with some text in the Excel sheet (some of the characters I was trying to type in the email) along with everyone's favorite "Method of Object failed" message.
Has anyone else ever seen this type of behavior? Any suggestions? Thanks!
