I'm attempting to re-create in our new EPM 10 MS environment books currently published in our 7.5 MS Environment and have run into one snag.
I have several books which use reports stored in multiple applications. For example, I have a management reporting application which stores brand, line, and channel detail while my finance application has balance sheet and P&L data. BPC 7.5 allows me to directly input a report path, regardless of the application from which I'm running the book so I can include reports from both applications within a single book. 7.5 also allows me to directly input the application into the fixkey dimension field so the dimensions requested are from the target application rather than the application from which I'm running the book.
EPM10 Book publishing allows me to browse to reports within the environment I'm connected to, but does not seem to be flexible enough to allow change to the path to cross into a different environment.
I've tried opening the 7.5 books in EPM10 to see if 10 would convert them and they will not validate.
Has anyone tried publishing a book in EPM10 which includes reports from more than one environment? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
